Chapter and Star was founded by Annette Chung, a self-taught book binder based in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. She has always had an awed appreciation for books and stationery. She makes blank books from scratch, using time-honored traditional bookbinding methods and tools, but at the same time injecting a whimsical and minimalist style into her creations.

The brand name Chapter and Star came about because of Annette’s love for books – books to sketch in, books to read in, books to write in. Every one of us has stories to tell, chapters of our lives. We live, we dream, we laugh, we reach for the stars. So write it all down. Put your thoughts down on paper.
